Make WoW Gold

This map mod will not get you banned, it allows you to do all sorts of things with your map and goes along very well with Brian Kopps Alliance Guide if you are interested in speed leveling. HOWEVER, the Team iDemise Map Mod is much better, but you have to be a member of their site to get it, you can check them out by clicking the banner to the left here. I recommend Team iDemise to anyone that wants to level much faster, it now has a guide for the horde as well as the alliance and everything you need to know is right on your map, pretty nifty.

The instructions for this map mod are on the site, first you need the IncGamers Client Download, do that first, then follow the instructions on the site at Inc Gamers.

#1 - Make sure to unzip the contents into
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons
any addons you get need to go in that folder. This is the same as the Auction House addon, it need to go in that folder or it will not work.

#2 - First Check for an update of the MetaMap. Then start WoW and at the character selection screen click the Addons Button in the lower left corner. Click “Load Out of Date” Mods, this step is very important!! I do not offer assistance with addons, you can read about them on the official WoW forums Here.

Other than that, when you login you click M to pull up your map and you should see the changes made. The list of features is on the Inc Gamers page where I told you to download the map mod, it allows you to uncover your map, resize the map and a lot more, have fun. I suggest you check out their other mods for specific classes as well, they have a lot of neat mods you can add to your WoW gaming experience.

I’ve been reading a lot of new info this week and have decided to add it now. I do not take credit for these tips, but they seem legit enough to post on the guide, so here it goes.

A friend of mine told me about this, so I had to try it out and yep, these suckers are worth the time invested. Netherweb Spider Silk is a big money maker. The drop rate isn’t very good, but you can get a few an hour in Terokkar Forest from Dreadfang Widows and Lurkers, to farm these you have to have patience as said before the drop rate is low, but well worth the time at around 8-10G a drop…

I’d say check your auction house and see if it’s something worth pursuing, not all servers are the same and your server may not have a market for these, or there may be idiots selling these too cheap, just buy them out and relist them at the right price, might even be better than farming them!! I guess these drops fall in the category of primals because of the high price and time it takes to get them.

Cold Eye Basilisk in STV just north of the Gurabashi Arena drop a trinket called the Cold Basilisk Eye, it is said that these fetch anywhere between 5-25 gold each and are a pretty common drop at 1.3%, so if you farm these guys for about an hour and collect 5 or 6 of these things, you could make a butt-load of cash because noobs like them, so it might be worth a try…

DON’T FLOOD THE MARKET!!
I’ve tested this theory out a few times and it holds true each time, when you have a bunch of the same recipes, say they are green ones for example: Recipe: Frost Oil, only post 1 (or 2 at the most) on the Auction House at a high price, say 10G 50S or something in that range, hell you only paid 25S for it, so don’t be in a hurry to get rid of it because there is somebody that wants or needs that recipe and will cough up 10G for it. If you have 10 of that recipe, just put the other 8 or 9 in your alt toons bank and sit on them until the first one sells, then relist another one, if some idiot noob comes along and posts one at say 50S then by all means buy him out and let yours sell…

IF you fish (and you should, it’s pure profit), you can fish up tons of oily blackmouth in the STV area shown below, the rate of catching these here is an insane 77% catch rate, so you can load up on these bad boys in no time and then stick them on the AH at 2-5G a stack, but use the rule I noted above, only list about 2-3 stacks of these at a time to get the most profit from them.

Another good fish you should be after is the Deviate Fish, they can be caught mostly in the Barrens (any of the little ponds will do, but the Forgotten pools has the best catch rate at 42%), why would you want to fish for these guys? They make 2 very nice products, you can either sell the fish themselves for a nice amount or make the products very cheap and sell them for some good money as well… the 2 items are Elixir of Giant Growth and Savory Deviate Delight, both good sellers on the AH. Here’s a map:

This is easy money at level 70 for anyone, there are a few daily quests here that can be done everyday for quick cash not to mention reputation with Shattered Sun. If you want to raise your rep fast you can also get a group together to do the Magister’s Terrace Instance, each kill gives you rep. Gaining rep with Shattered Sun is great for Jewelcrafters as there are some pretty nice Designs you can pick up, that’s the only thing I didn’t like about this new area, I don’t do JC, but if you do, grats on all these new designs you will soon be able to produce. Here is a list of dailys you can do, they don’t take very long, I usually do the outlands first then portal to the Isle and grab the 4 there and do them all at once. I think you have to be friendly with them before the portal is open to you in Shat City, but don’t quote me, it was open to me after a few days of doing these dailys, so it’s either a quest you do or reputation. There are 2 phases to these quests, why I don’t understand why, but they did it this way…

Another thing to make these even faster is to use a hotbar for certain things like the goggles, dropping the bombs, ect. You’ll see what I mean when you start doing them, it’s easier to just put them all on an action hotbar (one you never use, duh - mines on #4 I believe). This way, you just select your actionbar and all your dailys are ready to go, no messing around with inventory, you grab your dailys and off you go. Some of these also give rewards, but I’m just going to list the gold and rep you get.

PHASE 1

    Shattrath City

  • The Multiphase Survey - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
A super Easy Quest, just go to Nagrand and check the bubbles in the Spirit Fields by clicking your goggles on your hotbar
  • Sunfury Attack Plans - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
Kill some sunfurys in Netherstorm, it drops pretty quick.
  • Gaining the Advantage - 8G 80S + 250 SSO Rep
Tip for this quest, don’t try to do it all at once, it may take you forever, just keep doing your other quests and this one will finish itself if you are and active skinner, miner or herb picker.
I’ve read a lot of complaints about herbs and mining, but if you skin, this on is easy, just go to Hellfire and kill boars or Ravagers (near Zangarmarsh border).
  • Hellfire Peninsula

  • Blast the Gateway - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
Summon your Embers from your hotbar (this is why I said to set your hotbars, a ton of these quest require items you use)
  • Blood for Blood - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
You must finish The Missing Magistrix quest before this one is available. Kill demons in this area for blood then use the Fel Siphon from your hotbar to weaken the Felblood Initiates, pretty easy quest.
  • Isle of Quel’Danas

  • Erratic Behavior - 3G 40S + 150 SSO Rep
This one is simple, just kill the non-aggro robots and use your Attuned Crystal Cores from your hotbar on their corpses. They are easily found near the Wretched Fiends and Devourers.
  • The Sanctum Wards - 3G 40S + 150 SSO Rep
Pretty simple, kill Wretched Fiends and Devourers until you have 4 Mana Remnants then head back to the Staging Area and use them from your hotbar on any of the Big Red Crystals…

PHASE 2 - Keep in mind you can still do the Phase 1 quests as well!

    Shattrath City

  • Intercepting the Mana Cells - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
Go to the northmost part of Blades Edge Mountains (Bash’ir Landing) and kill Ethereals until you receive the Bash’ir Phasing Device then use it from your hotbar and look for the Smuggled Mana Cells (they are translucent hot pink boxes).
  • Isle of Quel’Danas

  • Battle for the Sun’s Reach Armory - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
This one is fun, unless of course you can’t handle 4 mobs at once… Run in the demon area and start slaughtering those Son of a B…es, the Emissary of Hate will appear soon and take him out quickly then use your banner from the hotbar on his corpse, if you haven’t killed 6 demons by now, finish the job and your done.
  • Distraction at the Dead Scar - 3G 40S + 150 SSO Rep
This one was kind of a pain the first time around, but heres the easy way to do it in one swoop, make sure you know which hotbar your Arcane Charges are on and then turn off everything else in game by pressing Alt+Z, this way you can see the entire screen and bomb away on those demonic bast**ds! Just mash your hotkey over and over dropping bombs left and right so you only need to make one trip, the first couple times may take you 2 trips, but after you know the route, it’s easy to do in one swoop.
  • Know Your Ley Lines - 4G 40S + 250 SSO Rep
This one can be a pain in the butt, but not really hard, the first reading can be taken right after you kill the Emissary of Hate while doing Battle for the Sun’s Reach Armory, the 2nd one is right behind the quest giver in Dawnstar Village where the blood elfs are, the last is out of the way, so do it last, on the east coast near the Nagas is a temple, look at the map below.

Will be updating after the new quests are up and unbugged! There are also heroic dailys, but I don’t really like doing those unless I’m in a group of people I know, doing dungeons with people you don’t know will most of the time end up in tragedy, especially heroics…

Now that you are using the auction house and bringing in cash, the next part here will teach you how to LITERALLY DESTROY your competition… You read that right, I dominate every AH on every server I use by doing this and you can too! Here is how to do it, first if you only have 1 of the item it isn’t going to work, but if you have an abundance, your game. Let’s say your an alliance, now the ally have a quest that requires 1 bronze bar, you could buy a stack for 1G-1.5G and relist all 20 at say 15S each and make 3G off the stack, but here’s the problem:

1) Some jackass comes along and posts 20 at 2-3S less than your price, that’s no good.
2) A few people list a bunch of singles all under your price, that’s not good either.

I have literally found a way to demolish these undercutting assholes almost to the point where they don’t even try to compete anymore! I am going to use Bronze Bars as an example because I sell the crap out of these things. I go in and buy about 3-4 stacks (if the price is good, 1-1.5G / stack) and then relist them like this, it does take a little longer, but your competitors won’t know what hit them:

3 @ 10S each
3 @ 12S each
3 @ 14S each
3 @ 16S each
3 @ 18S each
3 @ 20S each
3 @ 20S / 2
3 @ 25S / 2
3 @ 30S / 2
3 @ 40S / 2

You will have leftovers, but that’s OK, just go back the next day and do it again, your competitors will either have to undercut you and lose money or just sell the stacks off because this method is extremely potent, you’ll start seeing massive sales from these things and the price you attain will increase each time, talk about making a killing! The first 3 you won’t make much on, but then as the price goes up, the profit starts kicking in and then you are in business. If someone does list a few, it won’t matter because you have just taken that market and claimed it as yours and if you keep reinvesting in the same product and listing them like this, your worries of undercutters are over (unless of course they undercut you by say half price, then just buy them out…)

Hope this method works for you like it does for me, I have a lot less returns in my mailbox doing this because it literally stops those annoying undercutters from taking all the credit. You can use this method on Dust, Bars, Motes, Elementals, just about anything people might buy 1 of, and always be on the lookout for cheap Knothide Armor Kits and Heavy Knothide Armor Kits in stacks, these things sell like crazy to people between lvl 60-70, even at lvl 70 people are always getting new gear and that means a new armor kit, so do a search for armor kits and if there is a stack of 10 Heavy Knothide Armor Kits for say only 40-50G, BUY IT OUT, those things sell for 10G each all day long. The normal Knothide Armor Kits go for anywhere between 1.75-3G each, I’ve even sold them for as much as 4G each before, if you find them for 10G a stack, you’ll make a huge profit.

Remember to use this method to avoid that nasty undercutter from coming in and taking all the sales. List a few at cost then gradually move the price up, there is nothing worse than listing 20 of an item just to have them all returned to you 2 days later because some jerk decided to undercut your price, don’t let them do it to you, if you have multiple prices there is no way they can take all the sales unless they go under your lowest price, which will be lower than they want to sell for in most cases. If they only list 1 or 2, no biggy, yours will still sell… It’s those jerks that come in and list 50 of the same item under your set price that really gets to me, since I started doing this, my sales have skyrocketed and returns have been a lot less.

Another thing you can do is BE THE UNDERCUTTING JERK, not many other AH sellers will like you, but hey, you want to move your junk, not have to relist it over and over… I see people selling these same recipes over and over at high prices then I come along and price it at just 2G more than I paid for it and it sells pretty quick. A good rule of thumb - if you can’t beat them, undercut them hard!

Motes turn into primals and sell for BIG money, that is no joke, a single primal can go for 15-20G or more depending on which one it is. Each primal is made from 10 motes, these are very easy to collect at lvl 65+ and many professions use the primals to create items, so these fall into the “People are Lazy” category, instead of collecting the motes, they just go straight to the AH and shell out big bucks for these things. The motes can actually be purchased from certain vendors in limited supply, so that could take forever to make a primal, your best bet is to just farm them.

I have listed all mobs that have a 15% chance or more to drop motes (except elite mobs of course, these are all good to farm for motes, the 1st one on each list has the best drop rate (usually between 30-50%). Keep in mind that some of these are only accessible with a flying mount.

Class Sets are great money makers, so you should try to collect them for resell whenever possible. Most of these are dropped in instances, higher level ones at that so being a lvl 70 really has advantages if you want to make some money. All these items come from these instances: Scholomance, Blackrock Spire & Stratholme, most of the items are BoP, but there are a few that are BoE… Each set has 3 that can be sold on AH for good money. You can sell these items on either your faction AH or the neutral AH as every player can use them.

Other items that sell goos on the neutral AH are quest items for Tanaris, Stranglethorn Vale and Winterspring. QUEST ITEMS YOU CAN MAKE MONEY WITH

Wastewander Water Pouch
Drops from Wastewander Thief, Bandit, Rogue, Shadow Mage, Assassin & Scofflaws

Giant Egg
Used for Artisan Cooking Quest, best dropped from Owlbeasts in The Hinterlands and Fire Rocs in Tanaris

Green Hills of Stranglethorn Pages
Used to complete the chapters for The Green Hills of Stranglethorn Quest

Those are a few of the main items you can collect and sell on AH because a lot of people woud rather just buy them instead of farming them, there are plenty of other items, but these seem to sell the best. In Winterspring, there is a trinket you can get that will allow mobs to drop E’kos, these E’kos also sell on AH, here is the list of them you can get: E’kos. You may come across other items that are for quests in your travels that you have no use for, try putting them on the neutral AH and see if they sell, if they do, why not collect more of them and make some cash?

Rare drops? Maybe you have seen one of these on AH… Orb of Deception, this item sells for over 500G and is hard to get, but I did manage to get one in Eastern Plaguelands and it sold about 4 days later for 545 Gold, very nice indeed. Another rare item you should look for is the Dark Whelpling (worth about 350G), go to the Badlands and start killing Scalding Whelps, not only do they drop good items and money, but they can also be skinned.

Another great item worth a lot of money is the Formula: Enchant Weapon - Crusader which is dropped by Scarlet Spellbinders in Western Plaguelands and Scarlet Archmages in Eastern Plaguelands. IN Un’Goro Crater there are crystals everywhere, these are used for a quest called Crystals of Power, you can collect TONS of these things easily while questing or grinding there for devilsaur leather and essence of fire, the trick is to list them on Gadget AH in stacks of 7 which will sell easily for 1G. You can stack these in lots of 100 so they don’t take up a lot of room in your bags, if you collect 98 of each color, that amounts to 14 stacks of 7 for the four colors, which can make you an easy 50-60 Gold, not an extreme money maker, but very easy to do.

In Azuremyst Isle there is a guy running around called the Blood Elf Bandit, he drops the Blood Elf Bandit Mask which sells for quite a high price, and the drop rate is like 10%, so you could farm a few of these and make some killer gold!

The WoW GIANTS
There are many other places to get good drops, check out the grinding guide. I don’t think these are listed on it, but there are some locations in the game that have a ton of giants and they drop good vendor trash as well as money and greens, head over to NW side of Feralas and you’ll see tons of Cliff Giants, these guys are lvl 48-50 Elites and easy to kill at 55+ and drop some nice stuff such as Recipe: Elixir of Giants and Recipe: Limited Invulnerability Potion, these aren’t extremely high priced items, but they will sell because they are hard to find.

Another area of giants that drop a ton of stuff is to the east of Winterspring, they are the 59-60 Elite Frostmaul Giants, you can pick up Recipe: Greater Frost Protection Potion pretty easy here and it goes for about 10G, you’ll also get a lot of nice vendor junk and money from these guys.

Other giants are in Azshura, the Cliff Breaker Giants, these are 54-55 Elites and drop some nice stuff as well like the Pattern: Blue Dragonscale Shoulders which is worth about 40-50G, they also drop a lot of nice vendor trash. I really like Azshura, there are tons of giants in this area and you can make a ton of money killing them, another giant located here is Son of Arkkoroc which drops Pattern: Stormshroud Shoulders, a pattern worth about 100G…

Selling Stuff Quickly
There are hundreds of items you can get that sell for huge money, the list goes on and on, in the outland you will start seeing more and more green drops as you quest and these items sell extremely well on the AH, alway use the Actioneer and price them accordingly, I usually try to match the vendor price of a green item or a little less because many of the items you come across might never have been put on AH or someone charged an insane amount for it. You don’t want to keep relisting items over and over, believe me, it is very time consuming and each item you have to relist just costs you more money, so sell it at a reasonable price and keep getting more items, that is the best strategy.

The more you have listed, the more you are going to sell, especially if you have good prices, people will keep buying from you if they like your price, I’ve even had people send me mails asking if I still had certain items because they didn’t have the money when they saw it on the AH. Good prices = More Sales & Repeat customers, keep that in mind next time you get an item worth 10G to a vendor and everyone is trying to sell it for 75G or something outrageous, stick it up for 20G and it will sell quickly and the person that bought it will look for more of your stuff because you offer good deals.

This is probably common sense, instances drop more loot and a lot of items that can either be sold to vendors (BoP items that are not useful to you) or items that can be sold on the AH such as Blue & Purple gear and weapons. Some instances take forever to do, others take around 30 minutes, at higher levels you shouldn’t have any problems running low level instances for people. You can make money by selling your high level to lower level players (a lot of low level players want to do Deadmines or Wailing Caverns and at lvl 50, you can solo this easily and charge them 3-5G to run it, plus half the cash drops and shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes). Thats and easy way to make money from instances.

SM (Scarlet Monastary) is a great instance to do, you can make a lot of money and get a lot of drops because it actually has 4 instances you can do. This is a lvl 35-40 instance, so going in a group of 2 lvl 50+ should be a breeze. A level 60-70 can solo these easily and make anywhere from 50-100 G running all 4 of them. Running players that need the drops or quests for these areas can make you money, simply ask your guild if anyone needs to do it and charge them gold to run all 4 and half the money drops plus any items they don’t “NEED”… Basically, you run the instance for them and grab up some good drops as well.

Here is a list of instances by level, at 70 you can run many instances without any help at all, so sending out general chat messages in the big cities can let people know you are offering your time and charge them for it. There are 2 that the other faction would have a huge difficulty getting to so don’t bother trying to go in these, Ragefire and Stockades are located inside big cities where tons of other players as well as elite guards are everywhere.

Ragefire Chasm (RFC) - Level 13-16 Inside Orgrimmar
Wailing Caverns (WC) - Level 17-21
Shadowfang Keep (SFK) - Level 18-21
The Deadmines (DM)- Level 18-22
Blackfathom Deeps (BFD) - Level 22-24
Stormwind Stockade (Stocks) - Level 23-29 Inside Stormwind
Razorfen Kraul (RFK) - Level 24-27
Gnomereran (Gnomer) - Level 25-28
Scarlet Monastary Graveyard (SM) - Level 30-32
Scarlet Monastary Library (SM) - Level 33-35
Scarlet Monastary Armory (SM) - Level 35-37
Scarlet Monastary Cathedral (SM) - Level 36-40
Razorfen Downs (RFD) - Level 34-37
Uldaman (Ulda) - Level 36-40
Zul’Farrak (ZF) - Level 42-46
Maraudon (Mara) - Level 43-48

All the above instances are pretty easy to run solo as a level 65-70 player, so you shouldn’t have any problems getting people to cough up money to run them through these instances, to make it easier, go in groups of 3 (you and 2 ppl that need it) charge them 10G each and let them do the looting (you can set it to FFA or Round Robin and leave items that drop on your turn).

The instances below are a little tougher, so if you are going to run these, make sure they have enough people to keep you alive, and you can charge more to help because these are tougher and being the highest level, you are going to get most of the hate from mobs.

Temple of Atal’Hakkar (Sunken Temple) - Level 47-50
Blackrock Depths (BRD) - Level 48-56
Dire Maul East (also known as DM) - Level 55-58
Lower Blackrock Spire - Level 54-60
Dire Maul West (also known as DM) - Level 57-60
Dire Maul North (also known as DM) - Level 58-60
Stratholme (Strat) - Level 58-60
Scholomance (Scholo) - Level 58-60

I do not recommend trying these higher level instances with only 1 or 2 others, try to get at least 3 including a healer, sure you can handle the mobs, but when there are 10 or more on you at once you are gonna go down if you don’t have some backup, that’s just common sense. Most mobs in instances are elite, so basically, they are like 5 times stronger than a normal mob.

There are many items that people would rather just buy than spend the time gathering them. Many of these are to level their professions up and are willing to spend money on instead of time, this falls under the “People Are Lazy” category once again. There are literally hundreds of ways to make money with different quest items, but you have to know which ones are the best sellers. Some profession quests need specific books or items to complete them, I have a list of some of the items and where you can find them to either resell at the AH or camp out by the quest givers for convenience of supplying people with the item right then and there and they will cough up money for super quick and easy exp or profession leveling! The items needed for these quest will also sell very well on the AH because people would rather just buy them instead of spending the time collecting the materials and making them…

You can also sell Turtle Scales and Thick Leather.

  • There are other items that are needed for quests as well that people would rather just buy than look for, here is a small list to give you an idea. If you use one of these professions, check out the items so you know exactly where to get them at a low price instead of forking out money on the AH for them.

  • Cooking: Expert Cookbook
Sells for around 2G on AH.
  • Cooking: Master Cookbook
Sells for around 5G on AH.
  • Cooking: Cooking Components
Meats and Fish are always needed by cooks, there are tons of meats and Fish you can collect and sell on the AH. Before trashing your meat drops, try selling them on AH.

  • First Aid / Tailoring: Cloth
Cloth sells extremely well, it is used for many many things including First Aid, Tailoring and more. Never trash your cloth drops, stick them on the AH and make some money.
  • Stranglethorn Vale: Green Hills of Stranglethorn Pages
These sell anywhere from 20S-50S each on AH, be sure to list them single, most people will only buy one copy of each page, whatever pages they need.

There are many other items you can make money from that are quest related, always test an item on AH to see if it sells before trashing it and keep notes on what sold quickly so you can put it back up next time you get it. You never know what someone is looking for, so always test the market before trashing an item or selling it off to a vendor.
